Heel and Toe 'pad' for brake pedal

I like the idea of this little gadget, since I can heel and toe for light braking driving (i.e. on the road), but just cannot do this when applying more pressure (i.e. on the track). Do any of you guys know if you can get this (stick the link below into browser - from hanger111.com) for an S1 Exige, preferably for less than $150 a pop plus lots of p&p?

Just keep practising…or replace brake fluid/pads if worn, as you should not get much more pedal travel when on track compared to the road.

Hope you’re keeping fit & well, buddy

Mr Pesky,

The pedal travel is the same on road and track, but I do not brake as hard on the road (I stand on them on the the track - because you can). Because of this, road driving means that the brake pedal does not go any distance below the accelerator pedal, and it is easy to blip.

With a lot more pressure (for track braking), the brake pedal is now a fair bit below the accelerator pedal. For me, this means that I would have to brake hard using the side of my foot to allow a blip, when I would rather use the ball of my foot for greater control. This extension gadget appeared to fit the bill (but for $150!!!!!!!! I’m not so sure).

Does anyone else share this view, or do I just need a driving master class?

Clive.

Err, Clive, you are getting more pedal on track, so my suggestion still stands

You can try my pedal next time we meet!

Oooohhhh errr Mrs!!! I cannot turn that offer down - cheers

Yeah I’m with Pesky, pactice getting the control you need with the side of your foot, so you can still heel and toe even under hard braking.
