Wonder if any1 can help me. we heater has been working fine up to the point yesterday, i went to turn it on to demist the window and it never came on, today i looked into it, again the heater was not working, but then all of a sudden it started to work again, so i thought yay, left the car then got back to the car tonight and the heater is not turning on again. so would that mean i could have a lose connection or the switch is on its way out or could it be the heater itself,. please can some one help me
Not sure to be honest but it sounds like the heater matrix is beginning to fail, mine just stopped and it is quite a common fault on the Elise/ Exige. Not that cheap to get fixed as it involves removing the front clam to get at it so quite a few hours of labour charges getting the clam off and on again.

oh, yay just what i need lol so say 8 hours work mmm so say bout 700 pounds
When you say the heater isn’t turning on, do you mean the internal fan is not working?
If so, it’s the heater resistor pack, very common problem.
Same problem on mine and it was the resistor pack.
Fixed as part of a service so can’t remember exact cost to fix but think the part was about 50 - 80 and a few hours to fit.
well think it could be that as it came on when dry. But yesterday i went to see if the fan came on and it did but then had a burning smell, so turned it off, and now it wont work
Definitely the heater resistor pack has failed…just had mine recently replaced under warranty as well as the accuator as temp was stuck on warm. Thankfully I have a warranty till August 2010. This would have cost a fortune otherwise, as it is front clam off and then rehousing resistor pack and actuator, around 6 hours or so labour. Good luck.
well its still comes on when it wants to, so got a demister pad in the car to make do, long distance driving is ok as u get the trickel of heat come out, so have to start saving now.
