The rotating switch that controls the temperature (aircon model) will only rotate from full hot back to the 7 o’clock position (as shown) and go no further.
Has anyone come across this or have any idea on how to solve it?

Pop the bomnet and give this a wiggle.
Edit. The switch is part of a mechanism behind that panel on a cable connected to that arm which in turn is connected to a flap inside the heater box. Possibly all needs a clean and a little grease.
I found this image taken before I took it all out. Get someone to turn the switch while you rotate the arm.
Stuck flap…lubricate and give it a wiggle, just like the man says!
Thank you for the fast comprehensive replies.
Got it to move with the use of a lovely assistant.
The knob now moves much further round though (way past the max hot position) and returns to the position above.
The part that the lever/cable is mounted to in the diagram moves about quite a bit (not just rotatating) so I’m thinking to take the unit out and disassemble.
Is this relatively straight forward?
Cheers
When I sent my car for the post build health check Gav at Unit 4 Burton on Trent adjusted mine. I don’t think he took it out and I’m thinking to take it out means the battery, tray and evaporator for starters need to come out as well which may ache your balls a little.
Just check everything in the red circle is how it should be. That picture was taken on breakdown before removing. The cable clamped down and the nylon washers at the top of the arm and into the plastic housing. The rod just poking out is the flap inside the box, check for play. If all else fails I’ll give Gav a call.
