heater flap Actuator

Anyone changed the heater flap Actuator with air-con ?
I know it’s a clam of job but can it be done without re-gassing the air-con?
Appears my one is jammed on hot.

It can be done without removing the air con pipes but is very, very, tight. Had mine done 3 months ago this way. Lotus recommend removing the pipes.

Have you tried freeing the flap, it may just be stuck with crud.
