Well … I’ve started up the rice burner and it all going great, the low speed fans come on at 94 degree and Im tuning in the high speed fans for 100 or so and I thought I’d try the heater blower …
Uh oh !! fan wheel is catching on something and nasty burning Nylon smell… wasnt like this 6 months ago …
what a coincidence - I was only watching a mechanic at a local Lotus independant on Saturday removing the very same from an S2 111s with aircon - what a Cows C*nt of a Job!!!
(fan resistor block was well shafted/corroded) These cars are not for using every day through winter and leaving out in the elements
from memory it needed everything but the master cylinder shifting - and - it’s a bloody tight fit! I think the heater box and fan unit are separate and he pulled the whole thing out together.
Could be different on an S1??? but the space is same just the config of the components around it.
Comes as a complete unit including heater matrix …
Andy - that can’t be right - I had my heater matrix go a while back and don’t think i paid anything like that for the replacement bits. I’ll dig the invoice out if you need further info.
