HEALTH WARNING...

NEVER NEVER NEVER SELL YOUR EXIGE!!!

I guys! It has only been 4 months since I sold my pride and joy and I am massively regretting that day now!!! You become so involved with the whole scene, peeps and car, perhaps you loose perspective on just how important all that is… even after the ‘novelity’ wears off!!!

I had to have a pretty scary op done on my ticker which along with the house move was the reasons I let mine go. No that I am through both of these hurdles with success (I hope!) all I want to do is open my garage door to see my beauty sitting there waiting to be driven!!!

All the time and effort (money!!!) spent on getting it just right, and now all I see is a bloody lawn-mower!!!

SO!!! ADVICE for the day is NEVER sell! I think there should be a pact between owners to ‘take it away and bloody hide it’ until the problems pass!!! I would be SO wrapped if the German who bought my car were to turn up now and say… you can buy it back!!!

Anyway! Hope you peeps are all very well and looking fwd to snowy Oulton on the 30th!!! I will be back to full strength soon and hopefully will be back in the fold at some point in the not too distant future!

The next question being, as you should NEVER go back, perhaps it may be an S2!!!

Take care. Pete

Hi Pete

Shocked to hear about the “ticker”, but pleased to hear that you’re now on the right track again.

PM sent, cobber

Hi, Pete, Sorry to hear about your heart probs. And the anguish over the departure of the Exige.
Hope you are soon back in the fold, even with an S2.

Thanks for the advice matey I’m sure that we’ll all heed it. Year on year the number of cars that changes hands reduces as cars meet with their permanent keepers.

Sorry to hear about your health issues. Really hope that it all works out.

You may not have the car anymore but luckily you’ve got lifetime membership - hope to see you at an event soon.

Fixed that for you

Never selling mine, nothing ive driven gives same hit of adreneline, lambo included.

Same for me, Christian.

Saying that, after sitting in/revving the engine of Matt Cummings’s amazing car a couple of weeks ago, I got a real adrenaline rush, even though it was still stationary

And you lost the Ashes mate

Glad you’re on the mend buddy, but don’t listen to a word Ben says get an S2…plenty of converts on here!

Good luck

You mean you would allow me over to the ‘dark side’ even after all my previous 690 posts about the Elise Coupe then mate!!!

Seriously, thx for the wishes to all…

Perhaps I should take an S2 for a drive… never even been in one (thank god!  )

 “these are not the droids you’re looking for”

Hi Pete …shocked to hear about your engine(Ticker) probs :ohope this does not mean the end of flying that would be terrible.
I guess it was the stress of losing the Exige that brought it on… :frowning:
So get your -self oooop to Oulton on the 30 and get in some pax rides then you can drive mine no probs.
S2??? only a Cup car will do  .
Keep fit mate and keep in touch…I tell you this forum is a very important part of the owning experience…'Er indoors recons we are a lot of sad old gits but I keep telling her some of you are young gits …
Clive

I think Russ’s missus coined the term sadboys.com - thats certainly what my better half calls it.

Clive

As I am probably the only other S1 owner to have met Mrs Bean (apart from Huskydog who was banished to NZ  ),I would sincerely like to apologise for making her think that we are sad old gits. However, I can’t bring myself to do that, so tough sh1t, mate

Hi Pete

Sorry to hear about your health problems but glad that you are on the mend now.

In answer to your question, why not get one of each? (or how about a 2-11).

I should have the S2 down at Oulton, if you’ve never driven one you’re more the welcome to have a go.

Best wishes

Y

Sorry to here about the ticker mate. At least it explains your low post count over the last couple of months  Hope you get back to full health soon and the offer to drive my car still stands until you get back in a S1!!! By the way what are you doing on the 30th?

\

Never say never Pete!

Sorry to hear about your health worries Pete, but better news is that you are on the mend.

S1 or S2, just enjoy.

Yeah Pete all the best for getting back to perfect running order ASAP !!

HI Guys,

Thx so much for all the wishes…

I hope to be back in the ‘saddle’ (both of them!!!) pretty soon. Looks as if my op has been a success… seriously touching wood.

Really do miss both the car and all you great peeps! Would love to come up to Oulton… bloody long drive in my old Volvo!!! (could be a great tow car!!!) THx for all the kind offers of a drive too… as long as their is snow!!!

Pesky… all this just proves that I am also an ‘old git’!! Even my ‘child bride’ agrees!!!

(nothing beats experience though!!!)

M7EXG, Graham, has just thrown another thought with his car back on the market!!!

In any event, I have booked for the 10th… so I had better be their eh!

Pete.
