Headlight covers originally screwed?

I own a 2000 Exige and i am busy with my headlight covers.
Mine seems to be screwed and it looks very original,i thought the where fixed with some kind of rubber adhesive.
Who can give me the answer?

They look original. But mine are just stuck in with tape… I’ve been meaning to remove ,clean and re-fit fir eight years

I seem to recall AndyD put his back on with Velcro so he could easily take them on and off to clean - I always thought this was a very sensible idea.

Yes I cut some thinner strips of Velcro and hid that under the tape that goes around the periphery of the lens ( originally that tape is there to hide the Sikaflex )
My reasoning was that they always leaked and looked messy so being able to remove them is a good plan and I didn’t want to screw them on.
It worked but since my last respray I now have them stuck back on again … and yup I was right !!

Try Using RivNuts and dome head hex S/S screws as an alternative. Used in conjunction with a strip of foam rubber seal it makes a very secure fitting and easily removed when needed. IE after driving in the rain/mud.

Where is the best place to get headlamp covers from? I don’t need a pair but the RH one on my car has taken a stone and cracked…

Because the tape on the edge of the covers came lose at the holes where the screws were,i removed the old lining and added new tape.
Its looking new and fresh,me happy!
Offcourse a picture…
