As anyone tried those PIAA or Osram “Xenon lookylike” bulbs?

Do they really give 20% better lighting or is it just a gimmick?

If any good, what are the full set of bulb types that would need replacing?

What type of bulbs does that use? Surely not HID’s for �20?

To Be Honest… they are still here on my desk in the nice green plastic Lotus box they came in.

Brendon recomended them and in his post and praised them highly. I got mine from Nick Whales sports cars mail order.

Well after my first drive home in the dark, I thought the headlights work pretty well (Aug’06 model) - ok not as good as the bi-xenons on my last car, but good enough. I was expecting much worse.
