Heading Northbound at >100mph

I’m on a train out of Euston on my way to JSRacing to pick my car up…woohoo :sunglasses: DC5 manifold, remap and plumbed in extinguisher me up

Cool! I collected mine a couple of weeks ago from JSR. Big thanks to Sean/John for getting the car back on the road. And the plumbed in FEV is very good quality and very neat install.

:sunglasses:

obvioulsy though returning south at the legal 70mph.

Keen to see what you think of the mapping matey

Good one Benja ( for getting a signal on a train travelling on the West Coast Main Line  )

Oh and on the DC5 … and stuff …

   Only the best for my baby  If it’s good enough for F1/WRC it’s good enough for me

So how’s she doing mate…you as happy a Ben?

She’s fine at the moment, but i guess the clock is ticking on the K!

I’ve only driven the car back darn sarf but suffice to say I am very happy.

As Graham said the Extinguisher install is extremely neatly done with the cylinder up behind the passenger footrest. My car still has carpets so you can’t even see it. I just hope I never never need to press the button.

As far as the DC5 manifold and remap well there is certainly more power but the really striking thing is more to do with the mapping in that all the rough edges are gone. Completely linear, instant, head-scrambling unrelenting ooomph in any gear :sunglasses: Also all the part throttle slow-witted heistation and surging has gone. It even seems more fuel efficient when cruising on the motorway. Happy happy days :sunglasses:

Thanks John/Sean for top service once again and the venerable Dr Scuffham for working his magic.

Right … cams next

…well if you happened to come across some on yer travels across the orient it would seem rude not to pick some up for me too

All I need is to confirm the part numbers … My mate Hiro has already discussed with his local dealer … but the exact part number is still unsure …

Charge Cooler too then Ben?

I’m not man enough for that kinda power

True!

That should goad you into doing it!

Ha Ha, youd better not go out in mine then when I get it back

Nah I’m not entering the arms race with Quo and ‘Boostmaster’ Bicknell.

The thing I want most is to get some seat time in its current config.

Then JDM cams(if Andy can get some) and fit/remap next year (when I can reset the 2009 bean counter and quietly forget how much I’ve spent on the car this year )

No I don’t think I will - the last thing I need is to have my sense of ‘enough power’ recalibrated again.
