Does anyone know what the factory fit head unit was in the s1 exige?
I’m sure it will have been a bargain bin one but not sure what it was.

Hey up
From Googling the part numbers (A082M6631F/A082M6627F), probably an Alpine. Can’t quite make out the model number from the parts list manual though
Mine had a Sony CDX-R3350 when I got it but pretty sure that’s not OEM (the scratch on the dashboard would imply it’s been swapped )
I think there are one or two for sale on the Lotus Motorsports Auctions site at the moment or at least similar.
The one in my car when I bought it must be knocking about somewhere, you can have it if you want it…I think it was last switched on in about 2004!
Panasonic - still got the original unit in mine and do you know it plays as badly now as it did when new - a bit irrelevant once the sonorous note of the VHPD takes over…
Mine came with a Pioneer DEH-1430R , I always thought that was the original as one was fitted from new ?
Every day’s a school day
I also enjoyed that it was impossible to reach once the harness was done up.
Can’t control it + can’t hear it = redundant
There wasn’t one. IIRC it was a radio fitting kit only as per the Elise S1
Mine never had one. Never felt the need.
Correct Timster, & the radio fitting kit itself was a £150 factory option.
