Head light covers

Probably obvious, how do you get the headlight covers off? Are they just glued on and do they break when you remove them?y

AntThey are removable - re-fit with double sided sticky tape - don’t tell me, you’ve got some condensation??? (Me too!!!)

If you are trying to get at the bulbs then there is a v. large grommit in the wheel arch lining.Take the wheel off or lose a layer of skin.

Ant,I recently took the Headlight Covers off for a clean and refitted using Double Sided tape from Halfords - after one wash (sounding like a persil ad) they became very loose and I had visons of them flipping off at speed. Solution - brought some Clear Silicon sealant from B & Q and hey presto - no condensation and a tight fit.Cheers,James

9 times out of 10 the condensation is not caused by the headlamp covers, its the bonding into the clam of the unit. You need to seal both…Just my 2p worth

Got a large bumblebee in my headlamp.***ked if I know how he got there!Anyone had anything larger creep in? i.e. bird, cat etc?Phil GT

thanks guy’s ill be off to B&Q on Saturday morning then!

i thought id have a go at getting my covers off , not for the faint hearted as prying them off with a screwdriver needs a gentle touch so as not to scratch the paint but i got them off and polished the insides then coated them with rain x which im hoping will result in any water getting inthere beading up and rolling off without leaving residue , also waxed the bit in front of the light where the cover goes hoping for the same result … now ive got them off all ive got to do is put them back on , although it looks quite nice as it is … if you silicone them on how do you ever get them off again ? ps hello everyone im back …
