Spending then day, or at least part of it, tinkering with the Exige. Wash, check tyre pressures, etc.
Anyone recommend an easy to use tyre pressure gauge? Must be cheapish (20) as I only have a traditional model (One that shoots a column of metal upwards, probably dating back to Mini Cooper/Ginetta days of the 70s).
I have a digital one from Halfords cost about 15 I think Steve
Oh yes, I remember using it at Anglesey a few years ago! That’ll do the trick for my modest purposes. Ta
I miss my car I’ve moved out of my gaff whilst some refurb work goes on and since my drive is now part of a building site, the car is on holiday at JSR.
There is an analogy to be drawn here, but the last couple of days I keep seeing hot cars that make me pine even more :
- a blood orange Ginetta G40R - looked/sounded great on the road
- lovely ink blue track prep’ed E46 M3
- Le-Mans/Rally/BTCC Audis at their museum/conf facility.
I need to do a trackday.
Your car was used to hold the beers and the ice creams today Ben, so it is joining in with the summer frivolities.
PMSL I saw it covered in bunting

I had an Exige day on sunday.
Just wanted to check a few things out, and found that my nearside rear shock appears to be lacking most if not all of its oil
Also noticed that the nearside rear wheelarch liner must have gotten a bit too hot near the exhaust at some point 'cos it’s melted and broken away from its mounting!
Oh well!

Wouldn’t surprise me if this was more accurate than most on the market today. I must have four or five different ones but my favoured one is one of these - handed down to me by my father. Simple to use, easy to read and quite elegant.
Yep, you’re probably right. I just thought that it can be a bit fiddly and reckoned that a more up to date device might make it easier and, maybe, more accurate
