Fits to the standard cat which seems like a good idea but looks like a lot of money for what it is, what makes it any different to or so much better than the ebay ones?
I’m gonna guess it is not made in China. That probably helps with longevity.
8 times more expensive…
Looks like you can fit the standard heat shield on the Hangar 111 manifold, big difference in prices though.
Yep thats my point really, none of the other aftermarket firms, 2bular, larini etc have gone the way of an enlarged version of the OEM manifold so its interesting Hanger 111 took this route.
I am guessing they have tested and prooven gains using their system but at 800 it looks like very strong money for what you are getting up against a 2bular for example.
I am sure the US ebay version will not be as good, but will the hanger version be eight times better?
I have no idea what the hanger one costs to make but I would be shocked if they could not make something at least close and sell them at 400 and still make a good profit. I am sure they would shift 3 or 4 times as many at that price.
I am quite tempted to give the ebay one a try at that money.
& me , but you go first…
pfft - no comment.
Lol go on Jim, on which one? Either?
Is the hangar one slightly more compact? On the ebay one the far left cylinder pipe seems to loop higher to the collector?
Would the different piping arrangements yield much of a difference between the two?
Interestingly, the ebay ad gives more detail on spec - material and pipe diameter.
Don’t mess about!
Do your self a favour and get the 2bular.
Might be like the intercooler downgrades that are available. Just because its shiny and costs loads, doesn’t mean it will be any better.
All in my opinion of course.
Why spend so much money for a compromised design just to use the heatshield which is not needed? Seems odd in my book, or maybe they are aiming at a group of people who like to waste their cash

I was rather hoping the jury is still out on that!
Won’t know until that ECU is ready.
Any for sale yet?
Ours is due back on the dyno first week of jan. Spent a lot of time over xmas extending the plug and play loom to make more user friendly.

We were chatting about this today and it seems the biggest problem with Air2air is going to be preventing it heating up while mapping.

Glad I wasn’t sat at your table!
That is not a challenge if you put your mind to it

It was very technical Dad, we discussed mapping and how to make a gregs pastie from all the crumbs on a proper working vans floor
Maybe I can stick with the Forge after all then
Exactly - I don’t understand tech stuff, but I do know that pasties from “The Old Pasty Shoppe” are scrummy :gin:
