For those of you with a Playstation2, the new “must have” game has been released.Grand Theft Auto 3 has now gone 3D… If anyone played Driver or Driver 2 you’ll know what to expect, but with more violence and better graphics.You can pull Taxi drivers out of their cars, beat the crap out of them and whizz off in their car.Very violent, very politically incorrect, lots of fun !Go get it !

I have to agree, David. This is probably the most fun game I’ve ever played. As a game developer myself, I would LOVE to work on a project like that [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

Just hired this - very funny.Favourite bit is jumping into one of the 20 Tonne US lorry cabs, switching on “double cleff” radio, then just driving around crushing everything in my path whilst a bit of classical music is blasting away. Just wait til you get more weapons…I had a mission to “take out” an opposing Mafia boss… all I was told that he was leaving his night club in 3hrs time…I had to scream across town (over the newly opened bridge) get to the red light area… then I scoped out the lay of the land… found there was a nice gantry-style set of stairs overlooking the nightclub exit (well… overlooking from half a mile away with the sniper rifle)… as soon as he left, I picked him off and quietly slipped away in my grey day van all innocent like…Or there was the mission to get the flame thrower and fry as many people as possible… well as soon as I’d fried a few, the emergency services turned up (ambulance + fire) … well, I had to fry those guys too - and then nicked the Fire Engine [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]Anyone managed some crazy stunts ? If you manage a unique long distance stunt, it goes into slow mo and you get loads of points.On the other side of the island you have new cars (like Ferraris)It just gets better !!

Crazy stunts?That’s all I did for 30mins one time. [ [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]]On the dual carriageway, alongside the Red Light district, there is a train station. Next to the access point is a large boulder that can be used as a ramp. Take at high speed and sllloooowwww mmmoooo over the pedestrian bridge. Get it right and you can land on the overhead railtrack beyond and drive round above the city streets. Watch out for the trains though. [ [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]]Great attention to detail in the game with some nice touches like being able to select radio stations. Normally listen to “Flashback” (early 80’s groove) or “Double Cleff” (classical - just seems so inappropriate when you’re running people over - LOL [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] )Not a big gamesplayer myself but this and GT3 are very impressive.

Blimey, you’re doing well.I’m a bit stuck on the mission with the ‘spanked up’ maniacs who run at you from all sides with explosives strapped to their bodies. Any tips?

Any tips?Yes… don’t do that mission… do all the others…I can’t do that either… although I have an idea out to do it…Firstly, you’ll need 100 armour in addition to your 100 life…Then you need a good long range weapon (bazooka or Colt Carbine) and pick them off before they get too close…Have you done the mission where, once completed, you get access to a new armoury (bazooka etc. + troop carrier ?)

Yes, I did that mission yesterday. I spent an absolute fortune on bazookas before I realized how much they cost. They’re damn good fun, though. Very useful for taking out police helicopters [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]
