got my car back ...

i finally got my car back on friday from olympic exeter who have been very helpful … the original fault was thought to have been the main oil seal but when this was replaced it still leaked … the seal had been badly installed when the engine was built and at the odd angle it was fitted had worn away the end of the crankshaft . warranty holdings at first refused to pay for the crankshaft as it was " secondary damage" hah idiots but the nice lady at olympic talked them into it … got the new ecu but i have to run the engine in again as every major bearing has been replaced but initally the engine feels much better . apparently though a yellow exige was in on thursday and they suspect the same problem ! so check for oil leaks as there might have been a faulty batch of oil seals fitted . i had ordered a set of clam protectors but they had never heard of them and ordered the black sticky plastic stuff , i put them straight and they phoned lotus who didnt have a part number for them , has anyone got the part number to hand ? sooo i wont be able to make anglesey next week but have fun
