Some stupendous racing!
Good to see young Dean Lanzante “all scrubbed up”, whilst running the Brack-Kristensen Shelby Cobra
Well worth spending 40 mins watching this:

Watched on tv and was great racing.
I think modern cars don’t have the spectacle of the older ones - unless its Ginetta juniors!
From the link you cannot get the video from outside UK, but a torrent search will allow you to download the avi file. Brilliant, frightening and outmost enjoyable. Mais ce sont des grands malades ! Deffo a very good moment.

I think they are referring to ‘everyone’ dressing up for the day. That said the VSCC brigade sees some interesting fashions
Yes, sorry I wasn’t decrying the meeting, which is a great festival, but merely the inaccuracy of the description.
That said, I can tell you that an awful lot of people ‘in’ historic motor sport don’t bother going any more on the grounds that it has become over-commercialised and full of ‘stars’. The C of C has had occasion to issue very stern reprimands to some of these so-called ‘stars’ who think nothing of applying modern day racing tactics to historic motor sport - simply not on is it.
There is also a lot of criticism of the appearance of so many people in military ‘uniform’ (usually inaccurate for some detail reason that the wearer would not understand), especially the wearing of medals not earned through service - simply not on is it.
All the time that the football crowds turn up to see the personalities, the racing will play second fiddle. Yes, it’s great fun but it’s not history.
Rant over. Sorry.
Rob, I must be getting old - even I don’t get that one!!

I agree. There was some exciting racing, spoilt by a BTCC approach to driving etiquette. Some owners must have been regretting letting someone else drive theircar & bashing it around. Not a good example to set for any age looking into motorsprt.
Ah, Yes, the hat! Steve at his sartorial best!
