So,
I have had the call that the car will be finished next week (couple of weeks earlier than expected…). They are still waiting an IVA date so it could still be 2-3 wks away yet before I can collect it.
To say I’m excited is an understatement!!
Great news Gav. Having seen other Gav’s blue
machine you should be excited,…stunning machines! I reckon yours may even raise the bar higher given your exceptional taste when it comes to Lotus aesthetics!

Been to see her today, she is half built and coming along nicely. This morning it was a rolling chassis with roof and engine, this afternoon most of the body work was on and it’s going through to fluid fill tomorrow, they really are on a push to get the last ones done now. I also saw the new 400 in various stages of build dotted around the factory, unfortunately not a fully made up one. I also got to watch the squirly decal mule car banging in some quick laps around the track. Sounded really nice!
Btw there are only 18 GTE’S by my reckoning, The full carbon car is an entity unto itself and some crazy fool (rich arab) has gone and ordered one painted Gold with a full red interior!!
It’s being built alongside mine, all I can say is woah!
I doubt that car will ever be seen again. The guy who has ordered it has also ordered a T125 which was being built up also. Yep in gold! God I wish I was that rich I could order cars like that painted in gold and not give a shit about what anyone else thought or to its resale…
Anyway as suspected the delay is going to be with the IVA test and waiting for the docs to go out and return from.DVLa…

no… still no iva date yet, until it has ben tested they cant send off for first registration to the dvla. another couple of weeks I imagine!!

The car is all but built, should be ready by Friday. However stil no IVA date has come through yet…
