Wait until the DVLA say it is going on a Q plate 
sent the paperwork off two weeks ago and DVLA still show nothing on their system, not even down as delivered… guy has told me to leave it til next wednesday and if not there by then they are officially lost. what a fuck on!
it all the IVA test sheets, cert of newness, cheque from lotus, my retention vert and whatever else was in the bundle. its really gong to test my patience this one i can see it now.
had we had the local office still it would have been done the same day 10 minutes after i sat down.
You try booking a flight online through Lufthansa. That’ll test your patience!

I should have just let Lotus register it on a AU plate, but no i wanted it registered on the plate i had bought for it…
Application rejected due to a HMRC check… Wtf!
Basically due to the fact im personally registering it, its missing a cover letter in the bundle from Lotus stating the car was built in the UK and the duty has been paid on it (even thoigh it has a cert of newness from them, blah’d blah’d blah, they still need a letter. As far as they can see its an import and they need to see VAT has been paid up before they will register it.

Since they closed all the local offices transfer of plates is a nightmare too.
