What about “King K” by Mr S Erland

Clive.
If you want an enterteining read about racing in the 50’s get Duncan Hamilton’s biography called “Touch Wood”. It’s my faviourite book, with some great anecdotes and a good insight into the way racing was so different back then.

Is this not X rated and banned??

I want to do some serious research this winter, so i’ve put this book on my list!

James Hunts biography is a great read, drinking in the pits, hammered the night before a race etc.

I would thoroughly recommend “Thunder in the Park”, the story of Tom Wheatcroft and Donington Park, ISBN 0954286057, about 20

OR

If you want to begin to understand F1 properly, “The Powerbrokers”, The battle for F1’s billions by Alan Henry - not an easy read but fascinating and informative. You’ll never see F1 in the same light again, ISBN 0760316503. Recently remaindered so very cheap at the moment (about 5).

Find both on www.bookfinder.com

LOL at Tim

This is proving to be very informative…thanks Chaps keep 'em comming…
I’ll now have to learn to read.

I have the 1st and last book. Mixed feelings as they are verry basic and especial the last doesn’t add any practical knowlidge.
I have a lot other books as well. If you need a copy of the index please let me know.

Colin Chapman - Lotus Engineering: Theories, designs and applications by Hugh Haskell.

It’s a must-read if you can get hold of a copy (out of print)
