As some of you will know, my alternator went pop at Croft.
AndyD kindly trailered me back to Birmingham to get it fixed. He’d put me in touch with:

They fitted me in first thing in the morning (although the company re-conditioning my alternator, for a saving of �200, ate up more of the day than I’d ideally have liked), have great credentials, a sensible hourly rate, are very friendly, helpful and thorough. I’d recommend them.
Certainly cheaper than Nick Whale.

Yes. Sadly there wasn’t an exchange one on the shelf, which cost me some time. The thing looked brand new when it came back though!
I think the core went, as I smelt burned just before the light came on. A 45mm dia. �3.49 foil hose from Halfords and a couple of tie-wraps and I now have cooling directed straight at it from the side vent.
