Mainly my car is used on track but recently after selling my road car and waiting for delivery of it’s replacement I’ve start using the Exige. I get as much abuse as I do compliments, anyone get the same…or is it just me

Agreed - never, ever had a bad reaction, in fact, completely the opposite, from “hoodies” to “fogies”, both in the UK & France
Mainly good, but some jealous wankers. Sadly had my rear wing keyed by a couple of scrotes a while back… managed to polish the worst of it out… but still
This is my first Exige and I’ve been astounded by the attention it gets. All positive so far.
Wherever I park it people stop and look at it, and its on countless mobile phones now. I was cleaning it on my drive and three kids where taking pics from the end of my drive!!!

On my 3rd Lotus now and it is always positive, most people just think it is cool to have a british sports car not a german or italian pose car.

I had a couple of chavs in a �50 nova chuck there mcdonalds milkshake over the back end of mine. I didnt notice until I got home. Apart from that one incident, all good reactions and lots of filming on mobile phones.
The only car I have owned that gets better reactions is an RS4. Dont know why really, bit of a cult status I think maybe.

TBH it’s always been good til the last month, I think the stripes (especially the week I had white not the grey) and the skull & crossbones bling the car just that little too much for the road. Just twice I’ve been yelled at and yep by scroats “sh1t car” one time and spat at another (Actually in Lichfield, not Sutton ) But hey it’s not as though I’ve painted it florescent orange or anything

Also, Clarkson said he once parked a soft top Ferrari with the hud down in London and when he came back the car interior was covered in spit. Bloody british people. Evo mag once commented that they drove a new super car back from Italy and had nothing but praise throughout europe but as soon as they got to England they were treated to abuse and insults. I love living here. Its one of the main reasons I dont drive my car on the road much anymore. Mostly a track only car now :O(

I was last to leave in a quite car park when just pulling the last of the shutters down two hoodies with scarf�s around there heads jumped me. Bat to head, foot on() the head they loudly asked for the F*****G keys and my phone! Which I handed over!
To cut a long story short, the chopper from Stafford was sent up, all cars notified and tracker activated. After an hour an off duty police man (in times of help note the dropping of copper )was sat behind what was now a 04 plate RS4. Knowing (petrol head) it could possibly be on an 04 rang it in followed the car until the fast response crept up! The got away, legged it in Castle Bromwich. They had ripped the tracker out of the rear seats and deactivated it as well as changed the plates. TBH they wanted my car, they were spotted on our estate at 1,2,3,4,5pm before robbing me at 5.20pm. Wankers! The EXTREME bad news I received the day before paled that into complete significance but it shook me up never the less.
