Ginetta (NLC obviously!)

What a cracking little car :sunglasses: I’d be happy to have one!

CLICKY

I’d second that! Was it the bright orange paintwork that reeled you in Pesk?

I’d love a while one, with black wheels. Or maybe black with lime green wheels.

Gotta be ripe for tuning and you’d have the pick of the race car parts as options.

Looks like a baby TVR …
Not a bad thing !
Is it Maccy D,s compliant ?

I’m with you Rob, my kinda car, and as Muu says lots of race parts. If I’d not got such an awesome car already I’d be seriously tempted.

Have you seen one in the flesh? They are really tiny.

Nope, & so am I

Not for me. Built on a shoe string & probably has the same structural strength as one too…

Says the man who used to drive a Europa!

Aye, but I’m older and wiser/softer now

I would imagine if challenge they’d post figures on structural deflection etc

I was brought up in garforth nr Leeds where the new factory is and my mum and dad still live there - last Thursday i was up seeing the folks and we saw the orange car driving back to the factory. It does look very small - almost the modern version of the mg midget - looked good but not sure I’d want to drop 30k on one !
They need to think long and hard about how the overcome objections, as for me there are just as many reasons not to buy one as there are reasons to buy one and I think there are safer places to put 30k.

I was referring to it’s ability (or lack of) to withstand an accident rather than cornering etc

Not sure why the concern - it has a full FIA Approved standard Roll Cage.

Do you remember the Ginetta crash a couple of years at Oulton, where the car barrel rolled, then caught fire? The driver got out unharmed iirc. I’ll try & find the video on YouTube.

Yeah, i remember that!

IIRC all the bodywork broke off…nasty.

Look out for road/track test in this weekend’s Star on Sunday motoring page. I’ve just subbed the article!
Buy a copy, keep me in a job(and the Exige fuelled up!!)

I had a tour around the factory a last year. Great to see a thriving British company who actively support a UK supply chain as well. The G40 looks well enough but I’m not sure I’d be ready to swap the Exige in for one, mind…
