I’ve looked at a few Exiges to replace the S160 recently and one I’m tempted by has a Ultra-Close Ratio gearbox fitted along with the 190bhp upgrade.
How useable is this car on a journey (quite a few miles to get to the N’ring ). Are the revs too high at 70-80-90 for normal use etc.?

It’s not quite that bad. 80mph is 4600rpm. Loud, but not unbearable. I was quite happy doing 1500 miles round Europe in mine.
