The problem I had before I altered the pivot was the same-5th particularly being almost impossible to engage at times.All I did was to make sure that the gear lever length under the pivot was the same as standard so effectively I had a shorter lever just above the pivot.This has made the change absolutely spot-on in all gears-almost as good as my 306.
