I had reason to head up to Norwich today and head back home via a couple of places in Suffolk and home back here in Essex in time for tea.
The day has been great, warm, blue sky and the driving the car was a dream with ‘most’ people behaving themselves.
Heading up to Norwich I was held up at 3 different sets of roadworks and by this time I was crossing my legs and bursting for a piss, I was running late and the only toilets I know about on the A140 was the WC at the Lotus Dealer in Long Stratton, so I stopped off there for a piss and after washing my hands nipped into the showroom to admire the new 41k Exige Type 72, only 20 made (apprantely).
Wish I had 41k to spunk on a new Exige… lovely in the flesh, very nice.
Anyway, on the way home on the A143 a road I know very well, I had a chance to stretch the Exiges legs and overtook (when safe) a line of 2 trucks and about 2-3 cars, one of which was a 58 plate BMW who was a few cars ahead of me and kept looking out into the oncoming lane for a safe place to overtake (he was too close to the truck in front to get a good view of the road ahead).
I saw an opportunity, indicated , dropped a cog and pulled out to get pass the queue of traffic.
Later, as Im going a some obscene 3 figure (indicated) speed the BMW gets passed the queue and catches me up as me again at the end of another slowish queue of traffic, this time he drops a cog and gets passed me and pulls in front of (oncoming traffic) me forcing me to brake… not too suddenly but enough for me to gesticulate nutter (pointing my finger to me temple) and mouthing TOSSER… after a few seconds he puts on his blue & reds on in the rear screen for a couple of seconds and with that he dropped a few more cogs and was gone (with the full what of the law behind him).
He had a car full so I guess I was small fry.
So if you see a silver 3 series AU58 plate BMW in Suffolk then slow down, you might catch him on an off day.
