Fuel surge or is it????

I have a strange anomaly.
Everyone with a Toyota Exige will be aware that you get fuel surge/misfire on left hand corners when the fuel level gets low. But it has started happening all the time regardless fuel level.
Has anyone suffered from this before?
All I can think is fuel pump, or contamination in the tank.
Thoughts much appreciated

sounds more like a loose cable or something rubbing than the normal problem, certainly weird…

what life expectancy do fuel pumps have?
The car in question has done 75000miles and between 20-30K of that on track the engine was replaced due to oval bores at the bottom end about 5k ago.
The fuel pump is original
Worked out based on 20mpg average thats 17000liters of petrol :astonished:

I bet it has done more like 25mpg or better, even mine does35mpg on a run still
Might be the pump, but then it would be all the time, not lust on left handers

Do you get a semi coming down Craners or summat?

just scared me
