Fuel pump loom extension harness

Can someone do me a silly little favour please, under the bit of trim between the seats (on the vertical bit infront of the fuel tank) is the main loom. Off of this is a 4 pin plug which goes into the fuel tank area and powers the pump and sender.

After a run mine get quite noticably hot as is the wiring going into it, not very hot but noticably hot to touch…

So can someone see if this is usual behaviour and it just get’s hot due to the constant current running through it?

To me this is pretty normal…

There have been a few threads dealing with heat building up in this area - I had a quick search but could not find them, but patience would bear fruit…

Anyone else remember ??
