Frustration.....

…is having waited most of the year to get your car upgraded, only to have the snow come in and spoil your fun.

Fed up with looking at my car in the garage! I just want to go for a good blat on a dry road in the sunshine.

Roll on the good weather!! :frowning:

Bah humbug

…wandered out to the garage last night and put some RainX on the screen. Might give it a hoover tonight.

My wife keeps wondering where I’ve wandered off to, but I feel I need to be doing “something” car related, even if I can’t drive it

A year?

I waited 8 years to get my Exige, and THE DAY I collect it is the first day of snow this year, and it hasn’t stopped since.

Its a good job I’m not a religious person, or I’d be marching up to my local church demanding some kind of explaination and compensation…

Ooooh that’s not good. OK you win haha!

Still annoying though. I used to like the winter time, but being an Exige owner now, I can defiantly say that I hate it :frowning:

Do you have any photos of your car Matt?

Try owning a 2-Eleven! Even the sunny dry days need careful planning this time of year. Brrrrrrr chilly!

I’m actually gutted my cars tucked up in the garage with a broken gearbox with all this snow around! Had so much fun last year perfecting my power slides and putting the lsd to good use

A least you can go out and look at yours, mines in Snowy Dudley :frowning:

Only one, just not been in any position to take it to a better location!

Very nice!!

Just been reading the Lupo GTI forums where your photo is linked and had an interesting read of a guy with a storm titanium 111R. It’s interesting to read about his thoughts on the cars.

I went from a hothatch to an Elise and remember thinking “ok now THIS is handling” In the dry of course haha

Was it in my “Exige S1 or T350?” thread? He (Darren) has owned that 111R for a while now, I do speak to him now and again - I might be wrong, but I think he might have mentioned he preferred the Lupo…

The reason being, he’d spent a fortune on it, it was running 180bhp on TB’s so it was a bit more ‘special’. He still loves the Elise, and he obviously agrees its by far the better drive…

I went from my Lupo GTi to an Elise Sport160, and I went from my Autodelta 3.7 147GTA to my current Exige, so in both cases I’ve gone from FWD hatches to Lotus ownership. The Lupo changover was easy, Elise was significantly faster, sharper and better sounding combined with no roof…I was in love.

GTA → Exige is a different propostion. The GTA’s engine was absolutely epic, 320bhp V6 with any-gear acceleration and no FI to numb the response. Wasn’t the best handling with an anvil in the front, but sounded glorious, looked fantastic and had bags of charms and character…not to mention that it was extremely rare (had all factory options, even the expensive pearlescent white paint) with huge amounts of money invested. I miss it, alot. Exige currently hasn’t filled its shoes, but thats just down to the fact that I’ve barely driven it! It’ll all change come fairer weather.

Shame I couldn’t have afforded to keep the GTA and buy the Exige, I’d have been a very, very happy man

Uh Oh!

Stop complaining! its 27 degrees here under crystal blue skies and my Exige still isn’t finished and won’t be until February… closing in on 3 years since it was ion the road… torture

Can we swap our weather please seeing as you can’t use it

27 degrees right now would be very nice indeed

anything over fekin’ zero would be a nice change!!!

Its going to be 7deg next Tues according to the forecast! SEVEN!

Break out the Bermuda shorts!
