I need to replace mine prior to track day .
I have a theory that the OEM and other aftermarket ones put extra “turning stress”(leverage) on the post if they are pulled at an angle to the car so ripping the post out of the clam.
If the tow thingy could pivot around the post it would reduce the turning stress and might save the post. Would need some mods to the grill but a short “towing loop” could do the trick .
Maybe a shackle and loop would do it?
Anybody any ideas. …
Pending resolution I will drive within my limits…(where have I heard that before??)
Anybody got a spare front grill??
