Front splitters and trackway dont mix

My front splitter came off worst with the portable roadway “trackway” at The Open Golf yesterday and now I need a new one… or at least I thought I did before I discovered they are 220+vat+spraying etc (and currently unavailable from Lotus). Eliseparts and Hangar111 are about the same price. Anyone know where I might find a secondhand one before I start fibreglassing mine back together.
Phil

Blimey, those have gone up in price. I got one last year for about 120 plus the VAT. Wasn’t worth trying to fix the other.

Limited options at present.

Lotus
Eliseparts (slightly deeper)
Sector 111 (carbon minus number plate plinth)
Reverie (GT3 inspired, available for cars without widearches as well)
Sinclairs (perhaps just a rumour)

Price seems to vary dealer to dealer, which imho is a bit crap, when i ripped my splitter off at elvington williams wanted about 22o also, but nick whales were 120 incl vat.

marc.

Bought one from Sinclairs think it was 100 +Vat

The Price does vary from dealer to dealer, i knocked mine off after a small excursion the other week

I phoned loads of dealers, none carry them in stock, my dealer got one from lotus on next day and painted it and got it delivered to my house inside 5 days, price total was approx 200

The price for getting one of these has changed, they used to come from lotus fully prep’d, but i think since the colour coded ‘S’ was released they now come unpainted

I bust mine at Bedford a few weeks back.

160 inc vat from Lotus - currently on back order…

Having driven the car for a few weeks without a splitter you can’t half notice the difference in downforce :frowning:

Success! Managed to track down a 2nd hand Front Splitter at Specialised Paint Work. They are going to repair some minor fibre glass damage and spray it black for 120 - result!

They quoted 220 from Lotus as did another Lotus dealer…
