Came to open this to attach trickle charger after run down to and around Brands Hatch - @550 mile round trip - and found that it is very floppy…I think I have lost the bolt on one side at least and maybe the other side is loose also. It looks lke a bugger of a place to get to and wondered if anyone else had had to put this right and could impart any info on the best/easiest/quickest way to sort…
I had a similar problem after a track day, and it turned out that the hinge was fine - it was just that it had expanded in the heat, and the grease had disappeared, so the thin glassfibre was flexing instead of the hinge!!A quick squirt of WD40 and a bit of shade sorted it!!
