Front Clam

Has anyone got a link to show all the fixing points i need to get to for removing the front clam ???
Or is it just a simple case of undo what you can see and thats it.

It will be coming off to fit a better rad, is there anything else i should sort when its off.

Bolts are as follows (from memory);

5 x under the front splitter about 20-30cm back
1 x near the windscreen under the bonnet (repeat for both sides)
1 x about halfway between the bonnet hinge and the windscreen in the ‘U’ channel that the bonnent sits in (repeat for both sides)
1 x on the door pillar at the top (repeat for both sides)
2 x on the sill extensions (repeat for both sides)
5 x plastic scrivets holding the wheel arch liners (repeat for both sides)
4 x holding the fuse box and relay box onto the left hand (as sat in the car) wheel arch liner
Not a fixing as such but you should find that the oil cooler pipes run over the right hand (as sat in the car) wheel arch liner and are held by plastic clips. The multifunction relay? might also be clipped in the same area.

Basically you’re right, just undo the bits that are visible and it should come off quite easilly

Yep, good luck with that, you’ll need it! Most are OK to remove even if they haven’t been moved for a while. The ones you may struggle with are the sill ones as they are hard to get at, and of course tend to have the nuts that are glued under the sill just spin! Just remember to use lots of copper grease or similar when putting them back so the next poor sod stands half a chance at getting them undone, mainly because you’ll probably find it’s you!
