Ive seen on a lot of the race Exiges the cars have vents in the top of the wings behind the headlights. Is this a different clam all together or are these cut in jobs?

unless you cut matching holes in the wheel liners also?
I seem to remember that the early Le Mans cars did it to equalise air pressure/stop high pressure build up in the wheel arches.
They still do, Steve, as do many other types of racecars.

cracking pics…sorry I meant to say that I thought that they 1st appeared on the Le Mans type prototypes some years ago…before becoming more common across a whole range of other cars - looked up a reference and it states:
“louvers over wheels allow underbody air to bleed through to fill low pressure area over wheel arches” a picture shows these fitted to an early McLaren which has air dams running down the full length of the side of the car.
