So Podger pisses off another long time member of Exiges.
He will have the full set soon.
It’s the law in France.
If you want to go to France you have to comply or be fined.
If you don’t like it don’t go to France.

So much so, I’ve just downed a pint of Cognac laced “jus”, & am now going for a burn up around “Le Mans Crescent” in Bolton (yes it does exist - Bolton is twinned with Le Mans).
[quote=Mr Pesky]Drinking & driving in France has been a cultural “problem” for decades (including Brits who think that getting pi$$ed up & driving. or speeding excessively in France is okay). You can’t blame the authorities for wanting to do something about it, or can you? Just what is the bloody problem with spending a couple of quid, when the law is trying hard to educate tens of thousands who persist in acting dangerously? Why is this law bollox, given the background from which it emanated, & is a serious way of making people think about road safety? Podger, I don’t know the circumstances of your “serious” road accident in France a few years ago, but I would have thought that improving road safety would be particularly meaningful to you & your family. Unfortunately, the few always spoil it for the majority.

What part of ‘half a job’ don’t you understand ? … Easy law to make , as in Norway you’ve had a drink , you are illegal to drive , prison time and 2500 fine min JOB DONE and every one knows where they stand .
British drivers are NOT renouned as Drink Drivers by the French Goverment , and speeding British drivers in France is a thing of the past since radar technology / fines/ confiscation .
I speak with some knowledge as a resident of France .
And no you don’t know the circumstances of my NO FAULT accident in France , but alcahol was not involved , I was hit from behind , hard, and they were sober and admitted FAULT.
And the ‘bloody’ problem you mention is it’s a nonsense law , and almost as uninforcable as Blairs anti hunting law in the UK
The Frog law is a total cop out in every respect !
Norway:Drinking and driving: Don’t do it. The limit is very low (equivalent to a small glass of wine or half a pint of weak beer). Anything over 0.02 per cent and you could face anything up to imprisonment and a very heavy fine .
That’s a PROPER JOB and LAW !!!

He hasn’t pissed me off and I have to say I agree with quite a bit he has posted… Having lived in Germany for many years, you’d not drink even one beer if nominated driver, the Polizei were fecking scary! Stashing a breathalyser in your car just seems nuts, if driving don’t drink! If leaving home the morning after test yourself! As Steve says, what next…
He also posts winks by some of what he’s posted, so I don’t think he is looking to piss anyone off.
