Absolutely fantastic - well done

Makes my Christmas tangerine seem a little inadequate, but I’m not jealous, I’m really not jealous, honestly I’m not!!!

it’s got the same vents as our cars!

Boy that thing looks stunning from a low angle (ok, any angle!).

What’s it like to drive? Or can’t you tell yet.

I read on the GT-Owners board that you can legally run it LOUD - nice!

Ian

Having done 370 miles it now… I can say it’s pretty stonking. I’ll upload a sound file later.

Performance-wise, it’s the fastest car I’ve ever driven (GT2 included) it positively distorts time. Warp speed Mr Sulu !

Handling wise, it’s not as stiff as a 360, but very compliant without being soft, pitching or rolling.

Where with a 360 you wind up the revs, with the GT it just delivers like a train…

You need to remember it’s geared for 240mph though, so 6th gear isn’t optimal for accelerating hard (it still pulls amazingly well though).

3rd gear takes you to 140mph, so you can imagine how tall geared it is… Booting it from 60mph takes you through 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120 almost as fast as you can say them.

booger booger booger…

I was looking forward to going to see this ramorra…

I’ve driven past PIK about 4 times in the last 24 hours… not that i’m jealous or anything…

wish my engine cover opened like that it looks fab

Borrowed from the British Cars BBS:

Ford is recalling its GT supercar for a suspension component problem. The $140,000 GT has a part which could crack, due to a casting error by the supplier, and which could cause the wheel to become unstable. Nearly all of the 450 GTs Ford has built so far are affected; the company is contacting owners and advising them not to drive their cars until it has determined how to fix the problem. The company is arranging for the cars to be collected<<

Are they going to take yours back to America for the fix, David?

Stunning car BTW. I’m very envious.

Being the huge company they are, I suspect they want to avoid the kinda claims they had with the Explorer - hehe, Ferrari would call it a “feature” It wouldn’t stop me driving it.

I would imagine it’s a case of having the new part shipped to the UK and fitted.

I’d still try to drive it even if one of the wheels fell off

I’ve seen that happen to a Lotus twice!

It happened to me in a Peugeot many years ago. I had the brake pads replaced, and the mechanics forgot to do up the nuts on the wheels

It happened to me on my BMX when after a trip in the car (and associated removal of front wheel) me Dad forget to do up the nuts,…I did a wheelie and the front wheel fell off LOL
