ELISE S1 190/VHPD engine (Elise ECU plug) complete with throttle bodies. Basically standard except that verniers pulleys have been fitted, the cams have been timed correctly and the Lumenition ECU has been mapped by Denis Vessey on a rolling road. I estimate power output at around 200bhp, but this cannot be stated with certainty on a rolling road.
I have used this engine for racing and have completed around 20-25 hours on track, redlined at 7500, plus less than 1000 road miles. I have the Land Rover PRT conversion on the car and a motorsport radiator and the engine has been rock solid at 80 degrees, even racing. I had the Land Rover cylinder head gasket fitted after about 15 hours as I noticed some slight temperature instability, but there was no trace of any leakage when the head was off. I can offer a brand new Land Rover oil rail with the engine which I was going to fit, but never got around to it.
I also have the Rover 190 road ECU for the engine, but would need to discuss swapping security modules as I need to keep a security module on the car (using Emerald now). I also have a stainless steel Lotus Exige Sport exhaust, Lotus exhaust manifold, straight through CRP and Cat available if required. These are up at Kelvedon Motors. The normal lightweight flywheel and AP clutch plate are fitted and working. There is no alternator.
I removed the engine earlier this year to fit a higher spec K-Series engine and was keeping this as a spare, but I don’t need it and could use some cash. Clearly it has had some use but there are no issues (rattles, leaks, temperature, etc.) and this could be a great race, track or fast road engine.
