For Sale - Ohlins 2 way suspension - Exige S2

I have sold my Exige  and had the Ohlins removed beforehand.

I bought these brand new from Lotus Poole, about 2 months ago and have used them for about 800 miles.

They are the Lotus spec ones with adjustable bump and rebound, and the best single upgrade I did on the car for track work. Superb.

1500 delivered (paid just over 2200)

Pics to come.

Shame to see it is gone, will you still be at Spa next year?

I’m sure I will Ade - not sure what in though! Hope all is well with yours?

All is well with mine, I just hope to have a gearbox that will last next year  bring the Evo next year  or could you not afford the fuel bill?

Spa in the Evo would be painful on fuel - I will probably hire a Caterham / Exige as i’m looking to get a nice road car instead.

Pics of the Ohlins to come this evening hopefully…

Which spec canister are they mate? 36mm or 46mm?

Hi Damon - they are 46mm

Are you sure on that Mark??

If they are the ones supplied by Lotus then they will be the 36mm dampers. Lotus dont do a 46mm damper (you have to order them directly from Ohlins at a cost of about 2.8k new iirc).

sorry dont mean to intrude your advert…

Pretty sure! Unless i’m measuring from the wrong place  I measured the diamater of the cannisters and they are 46mm.

They are the exact same ones for the Cup cars, and have Lotus Sport stickers / markings on the canisters, and ordered by Lotus dealer.

Sold to Mike now

Then I am sure they are the 36mm ones as supplied by Lotus.

If they are 36mm that means 10mm small = lighter = better

Haha… I like the logic… I think it’s flawed, but I like it

I too have the Lotus Sport 36mm jobbies & they are a HUGE improvement over the standard set up

Thanks chaps - all I know is they are Lotus ones and extremely good  On their way to you now Mike!

The size 36mm/46mm refers to the size of the damper body not the size of the canisters…

The 46mm Ohlins dampers (although only 10mm bigger) allow for something like 70% more oil to flow through the shim stack over the 36mm kit giving you much more precise control.

Agree, the lotus 36mm kit is way, way better than the std fit items and will transform the car.

I went for them after going out in the JonnyFox-mobile - I still can’t believe how much the standard setup can be improved!

Thread can be locked now.

Shame i missed these :frowning: Been away.

Nice evo to…whats the spec? I’ve not long sold My evo 8, engine went kaput so ended up with a 2.3 stroker with a ND Hybrid turbo, ended up with 440bhp and 476 ft-lbs torque with full boost coming in at 2,300 rpm. Loved the car but hated the constant diff/gearbox worries etc.

Hi mate. It’s an 8 MR340 with an Ecutek map, and some other nice bits! Probably just shy of 400 bhp. Not quite as fast as yours though
