Looking to sell the Lotus Sport ECU I have in my car, either as an outright purchase (650 saving you 285) or as swap for a standard ‘B’ Spec ECU (330 saving you 135).
Sorry but not interested in ‘A’ spec ECU, and this won’t work with the 06 MY drive by wire cars.
This ECU is thoroughly recommended for any Exige that is being used on track.
Only selling due to other mods that I have in the pipeline.
VVTLi Toyota engine only 04 & 05 MY (Manual Throttle)
A Lotus ECU with the cam switch point optimised for track usage (switch point revised to 5750 from 6200 rpm). This allows the driver to maintain the use of the high-lift cams during track driving, whilst avoiding unwanted switches to low-lift cams. All other functionality of the original ECU program is retained, preserving the full European emissions compliance of the powertrain.
I traded an A ECU for a good deal less than your outright purchase (swapping for the LMS one)
Anyone that has an ‘A’ spec ECU and wants to trade is better doing it direct. Think it will cost them 495 + VAT.
They’ll end up with only one ECU, but if they want two so they can swap between them, or have plans for a project with another ECU, then I think mine is well priced.

Can I ask where this quote comes from, and why they would say “optimised for track use” when clearly it would be more than handy for road use especially for a NA car ?

its a no brainer for anyone who has a standard ECU
I would not even drive a car with a standard one because it,s very poor and even has a massive drop before the camchange over point.
I did not even buy an Exige untill this was available as I thought the car to be undrivable as standard.
Where do you get this crap, there is no massive drop in power on the standard NA ECU…there is a power climb at the begining of the high lift cam kicking in…dude learn how to read a dyno sheet and how to do proper data loging and stop with dishing out misinformation…
there is a drop and a dead spot on the UK standard ECU before the cam change over.
And you can data log how ever you want, if any one does not know how to data log its you ffs. quoting Lotus ECU times which are not even calibrated at the right speed and even less so with the tires you run lol

Not calabrated says who ? Well maybe you can do better than Lotus with you mickey mouse setup as I have always said you don’t know squat about this engine, trany or ecu…
I cant afford this right now but just thought I’d clarify…
Is this a T4E ECU? (E = fly by wire throttle). T4E comes in both A and B levels both of which can be reflashed. Its only the A level of the T4 (no E therefore manual throttle) which cannot be reflashed.

This is for manual throttle cars only, 2004/2005 MY.
The clue was in the subject

A ‘B’ Spec wont work with drive by wire either?
I’ll interpret:
I am not interested in receiving an ‘A’ spec ECU from a 2004 or 2005 manual throttle car as a part exchange. This is because it cannot be reflashed and would therefore be of little use to me if I decided to pursue an alternative project in the future.
The Lotus Sport reflashed ‘B’ spec ECU that I am selling will not work with drive by wire cars. It will only work with 2004 and 2005 manual throttle cars.
I think I remember one or two people have made apologies on your behalf in the past saying that you are, if I recall correctly, one of those rare Americans who deals in, and understands, irony. Therefore, we are invited to treat the offensive language you use as “just joshing”.
Well, forgive me, but we are well-mannered over here . . . so I suggest you “go boil your head” to use what I understand is an well-known Americanism.
Come on folks. This was my thread, I’m trying to sell an ECU here. If you want to start having a pop at each other how about starting your own thread in the muppet forum.
