So I have these strange looking screw type things…any clues as to what to do with them (I’m just asking for a typical Pesky response there aren’t I ?)
You need to take your front splitter off and after measuring up, drill holes and bond these butterfly looking bolts onto the inside of the splitter with strips of fibreglass matting at a 90 deg angle.
I got a home Glassfibre kit from Halfrauds (little yellow box with everything your need)
Oh bugger…bit more of a job than I thought then !
Anyone take any pics whilst they were doing theirs ?
Dave - pm me your e-mail and I’ll send you some pictures. got the splitter off mine at the moment so can take some snaps of the reverse of it so you can see how to fit.

Thanks bud ! - will document the install as I go along and post a mini howto…

It’s worth doing properly, as at speed it actually delivery some proper downforce.
This was before the Edwardz modified the recommended fixings so it flexed less.

Dave - check your e-mail my friend and best of luck !
O/T but is there a website for this edwards stuff? Wouldn’t mind looking into a splitter/diffuser for the forthcoming Exige at some point in the not too distant future.
actually, I sent them an email a while back for a front and rear splitter/diffuser and they havnt answered yet… are they still trading?

Yeah, I remember seeing that picture Ian - do you know which fixings were used before ??
I bought mine off Mike who had never got around to fitting it, but there are 4 fixings per side ?

Same fittings - just more of them! (ie Nylon bolts into threaded plates bonded to the inside of the oem splitter).
So how many should I have Rob ?

TBH I’ve still got the original setup on my car, but I reckon a couple extra on each 1/2 should do the trick.
I’ll fit an extra 1 or 2 in a couple of months, as I’ve damaged my front splitter, & it’ll need a repaint once repaired.
Hahha…I’ll get there eventually - so originally, are there 4 fittings per side or less ?
Calm down, calm down
Mine has 3 each side (just checked especially for you ). 4 or 5 per side should be plenty - unless someone else knows better
Aww…you’re a good chap…I’ll give you a big hug on Sunday!
I’ll give you a big hug on Sunday!
No tongues, though please
In the middle of doing this now finally !
How many layers of fiber glass do I need to use when fixing the mounting bolts ?
I only used one layer, splitter has now been on a few years with no problems.
Dave
Thanks Dave !
