Has anyone done this without resorting to bonnet pins? I’d like a 100% reversible modification to fit this, using the original hinge and catch mechanism. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? (Images would be especially helpful as I’m on my ‘holidays’ in the Middle East!)

My cover uses the original hinge (bonded into cover) & the original catch mechanism.
