But the new Exige is �2K more than the 111R - That covers the suspension/tyres/bodywork. Its not outrageously expensive until you load it with the touring pack etc. But then they cost the same on the 111R as the Exige.
I’ve driven it today and its good, not sure still if its worth �34K all tooled up yet. �30K and i’d have an order in. Maybe I should just by a basic one @ �30K and have it trimmed nicely myself at a specialists.

I’ve also driven one and my feeling was that power wise it was better than mine but not a huge amount (although at the time my car was down on power) so it’s probably just about a touch better. Also the characteristics of the engine aren’t to my liking.
Handling and grip was slightly better than my car (which is far from standard) but again it was on better tyres. LSS V LSS the S2 version is better, but Nitrons are probably a touch better than the S2 LSS.
Personally I prefer the whole package of the S1, looks etc and for the money I’d never pay the �34k for the S2, as it does just looks like a max powered S2 Elise.
It is a more useable proposition asd a road car than the S1 so it really depends on what you want.
If I was buying a new car now, it would definately be the new one,
that means you couldn’t buy an S1 Brendan…
