FIRST DRIVE: 2011bhp Lotus Evija – Full Road And Track Test!

Thanks for posting Andy. It’s such a beautiful car to my eyes it’s such a shame the hype about it is somewhat missing - if it were a McLaren it might be different

I think the car took to long to get to market. Plus it it’s not allowed to be sold in the US doesn’t help

I always thought Lotus chosing to position the battery pack installation in the same space usually occupied by the engine would leave the window open to offer a modified Evija derivative with a V10 or V12 ICE installed!..which could potentially secure some decent sales opportunities?

Exactly my thoughts! Sure it might not be as quick but it won’t be £2m+ either!

Is a good video. I always like Jethro B. As you say realistically a great car, but too late and too expensive. But far from embarrassing for Lotus as an achievement

Jethro drove my r26 for eco magazine. A thoroughly delightful chap in person
