The bracket on the bottom pic is just placed in which is why its not quite in line

That looks very nicely made.
It looks exactly as I had in mine from Sector111
I considered my 1Kg extinguiser adequate to give me a fighting chance of getting out of a cockpit which was on fire but probably would not be sufficient to put out an established engine bay fire.

your absolutely right, it would not put out an established fire, but it will give you a fighting chance should you catch it early. We have just had a VX220 owner suffer this horrible fate and had he of had a fire extinguisher i’m sure his biggest worry would of been how to remove the powder residue.

the first batch has already been sold and i am on with making another batch.

I presume the bracket bolts on under the seat bolts?

Nice solution for mounting an extinguisher.
How rigid is the bracket? Do the extinguisher bolts vibrate/knock against the floor cross member?
How far back does the bracket go, I would prefer the extinguisher closer to the passenger seat.?

it does, it uses the original seal bolts which are long enough to incorporate the bracket at 3mm

its quite rigid, it doesn’t move. the bolts i have used to bolt it all together are very shallow and hardly protrude from the bottom, on top of that i have put in 2 double sided sticky pads so you can place them over the bolts and either stick them to the foot plate or leave one side on and let it rest on them leaving no residue to clean up if you decide to remove it.

the bracket on the pic is as far back as it will go, i have thought about changing the foot design and have it able to slide further underneath bringing the extinguisher closer as an option, but the reason its where it is, is if you wanted to put a 2kg extinguisher on instead then you can do without having to move the bracket.

as it sits on the pic it quite comfortably sits in the space under your knees.

Quite like this solution too any idea when the next batch will be ready?

The extinguisher is far enough back not to intrude.
I would certainly recommend some rubber pads on the underside.
It is a neat solution.

I am having some brackets made as we speak.

The only problem i have at the moment is i cant ship the fire extinguishers (unless i want to pay £50 a package) due to dangerous goods nobody is interested in shipping them, DHL have been closest but fail at the last hurdle when trying to actually book.

i have reached out to a local company who deal with gas bottles so im hoping in get some joy from them…

its not really a massive problem, i would just have to send them out seperate and send the extinguishers direct which then makes me rely on a 3rd party and i dont like that… but, i shall see how it goes.

Thanks

I throw in 2 double sided sticky foam pads. That way you can leave the backing on the side which touches the chassis or you can stick it down.

Thanks for the info, I only need the bracket. Already got the extinguisher (it’s a fire stick type)

Please can you post up on here when ready or use private message, Would like to purchase one, cheers

If you want to send me a pm i can get it sorted.

Ive got 5 sets ready go ship out
