Morning all
Just a quick thanks to all that have given me advice and guidance on my search for an S1. Its taken almost 2 years of saving the money and a solid year of research but finally I’m the rather proud owner of a rather nice titanium S1.
I picked mine up yesterday and I’m blown away by it, just can’t believe how good it it. The day started at 6am, with a drive from bournemouth to southampton airport, a 1 way ticket to edinburgh with my mate (the mechanical genius and all round top bloke, to whom I now owe many beers), see the car, visit bank spend a little bit of cash, then a very agreeable spot of lunch overlooking the estuary and then a truly awesome 430 mile run back in the car, my first time in an S1 
…
Funniest part of the trip was when my friend who I’d insured for the day, dropped me back at the airport to pick up my company car we’d left there in the morning, and was pulled by mr plod the “anti terrorist” squad for loitering outside the airport terminal… “is this your car sir ?”, “no its my mates car” ? “does your mate live in scotland, as this is registered to xyz in edinburgh”… etc etc, meanwhile he’s waiting for me to get out of the terminal carpark. All ended nicely. Hope to see a few people at meets soon. Thanks again all.
