I am in the process of putting a socket on the centre console which is going to take my trickle charge when parked up in the garage. I have removed the centre console, and put the socket in place.
I am now wanting to get to the terminals under the N/S service panel at the front.
I can remove the service panel OK, but I am presented with the fuse box, and a plastic panel, which I want to get beneath to feed through to the passenger footwell.
There are two screws holding this plastic panel in place, but even removing them doesnt give me much room to get a hand in.
Is there one I am missing or an easier route ?
What was wrong with just using the cigarette lighter socket.

Yes, you are missing either a right, or a left hand - check the ends of your arms.

Can you charge from that, I always take off my nearside service panel and charge for the aux points there?

Yes you can, it is always live.
Ah mmmm never thought of that. In my S1 Elise it wasnt live.
Anyway, I’ve done most of the work now including getting the connectors ready for the front service hatch, so I might as well continue.
I just need to have another go at pulling the black plastic panel out of the way, and inserting my hand down into the depths of the front clam.
Need to get some warmer weather and the snow off my drive so that my fingers dont break off with the cold.
