Farndon Crank & Rods

Anyone have any information on these rather elegant additions for the K?

I don’t know about these particular items but Farndon Engineering have been machining parts for oldcars for a long time. They could have been taken over or amalgamated with someone else, of course. I’m sure it is good kit.

No direct experience of the crank. But been using Farndon rods for a long time in my K’s with no issues. The ones in the pic below are about 10 years old!

Thanks for the feedback chaps

What bhp does your VHPD run?

Never enough is the simple answer! I’ve got one that’s ‘well over’ 200bhp and one that was just under 200bhp before I embarked on a rebuild of George/Esprit proportions.

What’s made you ask about Farndon Simon?

Bought a brand new scholar VHPD bottom end with Farndon crank & rods and just after a bit of feedback really - weighing up possibilities of what to do at the top end…

Might just get a piece of glass and make a coffee table out of it as its so new and shiny

Sounds good, you could connect the oil pump up to dispense the coffee…

…and have milk for coolant and then when the inevitable HGF kicks in then you get Caffe Lattes all round
