Mine is two years old - any idea on the age of the Chronit jobbies?
The one that I knew about was the Chronit, but googling around there are news that it’s not eligible for 2006 (http://www.semsec.org.uk/news.html).
They were compatible with the ground loop in most tracks, but may now be only good for personal use.

OTOH, if they are being superceeded, it might be worth contacting racers that are going to get rid of them, for personal use
