It was great to catch up with so many peeps - next time I’ll try and make the curry.
One hour in I blew my radiator
But big thanks to John Shorrocks for a taking a look and confirming the problem…
And an even bigger thanks to Ade for giving me a lift back to London - Thanks mate!
So I got Lotus to replace the rad with a triple-pass motorsport one and while they had it I also got them to fit a motorsport towing eye, replace the centre grill (mine was looking past its prime) and do a full fast road/track geo.
Here are some static pics from the day, by the time I got round to taking them quite a few folks, including most of the V6s’ were just about to leave you can just see a few in the background, including Diegos
Gavs car with all the bodywork in place (the engine cover was rarely spotted when on track)
661
gpfisher (I love the look of this car!)
tim_marra (I’m not sure what kind of car this is, some sort of Ferrari perhaps, but it didn’t half shift!)
Don’t know who this belongs to…
Wills Exige - this contains more electrical gadgetry than a space ship
Don’t know who this belongs to…
And my motor in its grubby and clean states after getting home!
Nice pics Bomber , and thanks for your comment about the car
That reminds me , what a great couple of days that was. It would be good if we could organise to do this event once every two years
Great pics Pete, not many taken on the day by anybody really.
What was that black stuff that came off the track all over the cars? The preverbial ‘shit to a blanket’ springs to mind. I had to wash it twice in many spots.
