Just as long as he behaves himself both on and off the track I dont have an issue. Im sure he will be aware he is on a private club day and will drive accordingly to the day.

The fact of the matter is we had 30 places available to us as an exclusive group which all need to be filled to get the trackday at the price we have paid. As nice as it would have been to get 30 of us we have only managed 20 spaces filled directly from exiges.com and thats before you deduct the ones who cant make it now.
Having just text PG how many more we have had sign up from when we opened it up to those friends of exiges who expressed interest when it was first announced, we are ‘low to mid twentys’ were his exact words.
Id prefer it to be an exclusive group but its going to have to be a compromise somewhere with us not getting the numbers we needed for it to go ahead as an exclusive.
Me personally, i say if anyone booked on the day knows of any friends that want to come along, lotus or not, then provided they all play nicely i have no objection to letting them fill any spaces that are either not yet spoken for or passed on as a gift from those who cant be there. Like i said, i dont have any issues with it.
The happy path sees me there, TDI pencilled for the Weds before

Gav, he will absolutely behave himself, he has driven my car at several other Exiges events including Anglesey this year (when the car was traveling even slower than normal 
). I’m sure he will be a lot more comfortable in his own car on the day.
I am going to get him to sign up to Exiges as he also want to come to Angelsey next Easter, he would love to afford a Lotus but funds just do not allow him to even afford a trackday let alone an Exige.
As per my previous email, I am going to ask him to sign up as an official member, I really do hope you don’t have an issue with Steve taking my place? You have met him on seversal occasions and is as much of a petrol head as the rest of us, just without funds to allow him to do a trackday.
If I was going to pick any day to venture into trackdays in, I know it would be with Exiges and via this forum, it is as we all know the best most friendly car forum there is and has one of the best followings of any niche car.

If this is being opened up to non-lotus cars, my father in law might be interested as he could take my chav-sport clio 182.
However, I would prefer it if everybody on the day is in a RWD car. I think we are going to be lucky to have a dry day and RS clios/meganes etc are properly quick on a wet circuit thanks to the different FWD handling characteristics. I am by no means a fast driver on a wet track, especially one I haven’t done before (I’m not that fast on a dry one for that matter!) Ultimately though, if it makes the difference for the day being run I have no real issues with non-lotus cars if it comes to that.
EDIT - Ade, is your mate talking Clio 172/182/200 or a proper Clio Cup racer?
If one wants my place they can have it - with approval from LOT I guess ?

Yep, i’m pretty sure that Lotus, myself and all Exigers will be proper papping ourselves at the thought of FWD hatchbacks showing us all the way round.

Fully stripped out 172 Cup road car, it only has seats door cards and the dash left on the inside, otherwise pretty much standard, if it is dry he will be either on A048 or 888’s I think it will be good around Hethel
Not at all it was as general as your post I quoted,
I would not offer my place to other guys I know as they have never had the want to come to our days, I would rather lose the money than have someone turn up who doesn’t know our reputation as a forum and respect others.
I just hope he can come along and don’t even think he would do that much on track due to limited funds, I am truly gutted I can’t make it and now Donny on the 22nd looks in danger due to work maybe not honoring it’s contract to me! I am mighty annoyed
