What rpm are the max speeds calculated at ? Assume 8,000 ?

They are calculated at 7800 rpm
they may be a little different with smaller rear wheels the box keeps it in the power all the time and you find yourself in 5 gear in no time at all even with a standard VHPD
They’re much nicer to drive than a standard box or CR box Chris, but it will keep you to 140mph
Do you know what the ratios on the standard S1 box are?
Std S1 Box Ratio’s are
1st 3.17
2nd 1.84
3rd 1.31
4th 1.03
5th 0.77
F/D 3.94 : 1
5th gear giving 22.9mph per 1000 rpm
Good for, er, 179mph.

These are the figures for a standard S1 Gearbox not an exige gearbox which are normally a C/R version…
So In theory YES a mega top speed ! But I doubt that you could produce enough BHP to combat the taller diff and wind resistance without going crazy.
I’ll post up the differences tonight with there top speeds for each box

Are the MPH figures dependant on wheel size? Therefore are they all 17"?
